ACCOMMODATION [Top]
First class accommodations are used where available and are based on twin occupancy to a room with private facilities. Single supplement charges are indicated in the brochure.

AIR TRANSPORTATION [Top]
Air transportation is based on round-trip economy excursion fares as published by the airline whichever is applicable to the tour program. All fares quoted are subject to change without notice by the airline.

BAGGAGE [Top]
Charming Holidays Canada Inc. assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged baggage. Baggage allowance currently in effect on trans-Pacific flights is not more than two (2) pieces of checked baggage with combined total dimensions not exceeding 107 inches (272 cm.) and no single piece exceeding 62 inches (157 cm.). Excess baggage charges are the responsibility of the tour participant.

BOOKING [Top]
All booking and communication prior to your departure, including payment and refund transactions must be made through your travel agents.

CANCELLATIONS [Top]
All cancellations must be made in writing to Charming Holidays Canada Inc. The date of receipt of cancellation notice will determine what penalties, if any, will be assessed, in accordance with the following schedule:
After the booking was confirmed: CA$200.00 per person
60-45 days prior to departure: CA$300.00 per person;
44-08 days prior to departure: CA$750.00 per person;
07-01 days prior to departure: 75% of the tour price per person;
Within 24 hours prior to departure and/or after departure: 100% forfeiture of tour price per person.

DEPOSIT [Top]
A deposit of CA$300.00 per person is required within 14 days upon confirmation of reservations.

FINAL PAYMENT [Top]
Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. All reservations made within 60 days of travel must be paid in full at time of booking. Non-payment upon due date will result in automatic cancellation and will be subject to applicable charges. Payment can be made by cheque, or by credit cards: VISA, MASER CARD, OR AMERICAN EXPRESS. If payment is by credit card, Charming Holidays Canada Inc. will appear as the vendor on your statement. Your verbal or written authorization to Charming Holidays Canada Inc. to debit your credit card account for deposit / or final payment confirms your reservations and your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS [Top]
Currently none of the areas included in this itinerary require certificates of vaccination. However, this is subject to change at any time.

INSURANCE [Top]
Charming Holidays Canada Inc. highly recommends that all participants purchase trip cancellation, hospital and medical, and baggage insurance to protect their travel plans. Contact your travel agent for more information.

MEALS [Top]
Within Japan, three meals will be provided daily, except as noted in the itinerary.

PASSPORT AND VISA [Top]
A valid passport is required and it must be valid for at least six months after the scheduled return of the tour. Canadian passport holders do not need a visa if they are visiting Japan for less than 90 days. Nationals of other countries must check with the booking agent regarding visa requirements. Charming Holidays Canada Inc. cannot accept responsibility for alternate or additional land or air arrangements incurred by tour participants with improper documentation.

REFUNDS [Top]
Upon commencement of the tour, there will be no refund for any of the unused tour arrangements, domestic and international flights, ground transportation and hotel accommodations.

RESPONSIBILITIES [Top]
Charming Holidays Canada Ltd. acts only as agent and/or intermediary for the independent suppliers. The suppliers who provide transportation, conveyance, or accommodations are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Charming Holidays Canada Inc. Charming Holidays Canada Inc. assumes no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity. Charming Holidays Canada Inc. further reserves the right to decline, accept or to retain any person as a member of any tour at any time. All matters within Japan are arranged by the Japanese travel authority or delegated handling travel agency who themselves reserve the right to make alterations or adjustments to the overall arrangements within Japan. Charming Holidays Canada Inc. is not responsible for any such alterations made by the Japanese travel authority or its delegate.

TOUR ESCORTS [Top]
A local English-speaking representative will be provided at each city to meet you upon arrival and will accompany you until departure for the next city on the itinerary. A tour director will accompany each escorted tour group consisting of 15 or more participants.

TOUR PRICES [Top]
All costing specified in this brochure are in Canadian dollars and are subject to change without notice. Tour prices include air and ground transportation as arranged.

Meals not specified in the itinerary, optional tours, any domestic and international airport taxes and fees, charges for passports, visas, laundry, liquor, excess baggage charges, usage of telephones, faxes and telexes, travel and baggage insurance, airport improvement fee, CA$30.00 per person Canadian Navigation Fee, security surcharges, items of personal nature and items not specifically listed as included.

TRANSFERS AND SIGHTSEEING [Top]
All transfers and sightseeing are by air-conditioned motor coach, car or other conveyance.
