Kaifeng located on the alluvial plains on the middle and lower reaches of the Huanghe River, Kaifeng, a key tourism city along the banks of the river, is under the direct jurisdiction of the Henan Provincial Government. It is 70 kilometers from Zhengzhou, the provincial seat in the west, with the Huanghe River in the north and the Huanghuai Plain in the south. Administrating five counties and five regions, Kaifeng covers an area of 6,444 square kilometers in total. The population is 4.3 million, among whom 700,000 live in urban areas.

Memorial Temple of Lord Bao, located on the west bank of Baogong Lake, the Baogong Memorial Temple was built to commemorate the respectable and morally lofty official Bao Zheng in the Northern Song Dynasty in 1984. He has been honored as one of the most honest and upright judges in Chinese history and has been praised by generation after generation. The temple occupies a floorage of 1,800 sq. meters and consists of the Main Hall, the Second Hall, two subsidiary Halls on the east and west sides, Hall-wall Corridor, the stone stele pavilion and the main entrance, most of which were designed and built in typical Song style. In the center of the Main Hall stands a 2.5-meter high bronze statue of Bao Zheng

Iron Pagoda (Iron Tower) erected in 1049 during the Northern Song Dynasty; the 13-story octagonal Iron Tower is situated in the Iron Tower Park in Kaifeng, 55.88 meters in height. It has been renowned for its excellent, exquisitely designed wooden structure. The bricks with carved trenches fit together perfectly.

The Dragon Pavilion Scenic Spot, resting in the northwestern part of Kaifeng, is the largest of its kind in the city, with an area of 83.13 hectares. It has been built on the ancient ruins of the imperial palaces of the Song, the Jin and the Ming dynasties.
