Charming
Holidays one of the major outbound wholesalers in Hong
Kong, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ming
Pao Holdings Ltd. Ming Pao Holdings is a public listed
company in Hong Kong whose main interests are the publishing of Ming Pao
Daily News, magazines, periodicals as well as investments in property
market.
In 1994, envisioning
the strong potential in the outbound market in North America, the company
acquired one of the largest outbound agents in Los Angeles ¡V Delta Tour
& Travel Services, Inc. Delta Tour was incorporated in 1981 in Los
Angeles to provide a comprehensive inbound receptive service for handling
groups and individual travellers from Asia to North America and had achieved
a combined North America sales turnover of approximately US$22 million
in 1997.
With the expertise
of Charming Holidays Hong Kong and the resources of Ming Pao Holdings,
Charming Holidays/Delta Tours, North America began to diversify into domestic
and international ticketing and outbound tour business in 1994 with its
main focus on the Chinese/Asia and Corporate markets. After eight years
of development, Charming Holidays/Delta Tours have now become one of the
largest Asian in/outbound Packages (groups and individual) tour operators
and ticketing agent in North America .
