Chongqing was originally the capital of the State of Ba over three thousand years. Chongqing is subtropical, hot in summer. Hence, it had got the name 'Furnace City'. Meanwhile, Chongqing has also got the renown as a 'Mountain City' because of its buildings on hillsides and mountains surrounding the city. The climate in Chongqing is often cloudy and misty. As a consequence, it is also called 'the Fog City'.

Eling Park located it Changjiang Lu, Yuzhong district, Eling was originally named Edingling (Goose Nape Hill), for its narrow and steep shape resembling a nape of a goose. The park was built in 1909, which was originally the home of Lee, a rich businessman, also known as 'courteous park', with special plant species and a newly built tower (Liangjiang Pavilion) providing the view of the entire city. In 1958, large-scale of restoration was carried out on the site of Lee Garden and the park was 'Eling Park'.

Chongqing Zoo comprises of different exhibition halls of more than 150 kinds of animal species including pandas, goldfish, birds, water animals, buffalos, elephants, lions and tigers, camels and monkeys

Xichuan Change Face Show is a local opera popular in southwestern China, Chuanju opera features vivid, humorous narration, singing, and acrobatic fighting, showing the optimism and open-mindedness of the people in Sichuan Province. One of the fascinating artistic charm of the opera is the change of the face masks, which is done by tearing off, rubbing away, or blowing off quickly one mask to let another one appear.
